The Garden Guild ensures the year-round maintenance and beauty of the Deans’ Garden for visitors to the Cathedral and for the congregation, who enjoy the beauty of the garden during summer Sunday coffees and occasional parties.
Gay Ministry (See Lambda Group)
A social service and fellowship organization for women, the Junior Guild makes contributions to charities, individuals in need, and to the Cathedral. The Guild, with the support of its members from both the Cathedral and the broader Paris community, holds monthly luncheons as well as fundraising events such as the Christmas Fair and the spring book sale.
The Lambda Group is a theological reflection and fellowship group that seeks to accompany lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families and friends as they journey on their spiritual path. The group meets at least once a month, usually the second Saturday from 5 to 7 pm. All are welcome regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or where they are in their reflections on the subject. See more here.
The work of Cathedral lectors is familiar to all through its visible place in the liturgy. Sunday lectors read the lessons appointed from Holy Scripture and lead the prayers of the people for Sunday services. Workshops and training opportunities are organized to explore the meaning of texts and share the different styles each one brings to the work of lectors.
