SUNDAY SERVICES IN LENT

The weekly 11:00am Eucharist takes on a contemplative character throughout Lent, beginning in silence and the reading of a poem that connects to the Sunday gospel. To note, the First Sunday in Lent service (March 10) is set to the Great Litany in Procession, and on the Fourth Sunday in Lent (March 31), a Laying on of Hands for Healing will be offered.


Palm Sunday, April 14

Please note that our tradition on Palm Sunday morning is to process to the Cathedral up the Avenue George V. The procession gathers at the Place de L’Alma across from Chez Francis at 10:30am.

“In the darkness, fire is kindled,” and then, “On this most holy night, in which our Lord Jesus passed over from death to life,” we journey from darkness to light, death to life, in this ancient and dramatic service. It ends with the Easter acclamation: CHRIST IS RISEN!, followed by the first Eucharist of Easter. Then there’s a festive reception to end our Lenten fast.

A breakfast reception of coffee, croissant and chocolate is offered following the 9:00am service. All are welcome to the Easter Egg Hunt in the Dean’s Garden after the 11:00am service!
