HOME (Hébergement, Orientation, Médiation Écoute) promotes social equality through feminism, specifically counseling women in difficulty between the ages of 18-30 in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Some have been victims of domestic violence. In additional to these services the association also goes out into the community to educate young people about social cohesion, tolerance and treating each other equally.
HOME currently has 4 residences and an ultimate goal to open 8. Cathedral Outreach has funded this association and its initiatives over the past few years, including sponsoring yearly career counseling workshops on the Cathedral campus. Members of the HOME community also participate in the LOVE IN A BOX project and many of their children have been LOVE BOX recipients over the past several years. Our relationship with HOME fulfills several of our target objectives, including promotion of social diversity, justice and education.
