This French national association leads in the fight against the isolation of young LGBTQ+ people rejected by their families because of their sexuality or trans-identity.
The organization provides temporary accommodation and a path of multidisciplinary accompaniment (social, psychological, medical, legal) that promotes a return to a state of physical and psychological well-being. Youth are encouraged to identify and mobilize their own resources to achieve autonomy in the management of daily life, a return to employment and housing. Le Refuge also champions the prevention of homophobic and transphobic behaviors. The Cathedral community shares and promotes these values of social inclusion and justice.
