Cathedral Forum: "Reading Luke"

On 2 December, the church begins a new liturgical year. During the year from Advent 1 until next November, our Sunday Gospel readings will be dominated by the voice of St Luke, the third of the four evangelists, just as this year’s cycle has been shaped largely by St Mark’s Gospel. In this forum, parishioner Bill Tompson takes a look at the third Gospel, exploring what sets it apart from the others. Understanding something of Luke’s distinct voice, perspective and themes can enrich our hearing of the Gospel week by week over the year to come

Sunday, November 25, 9:45am in the Fleetwood Room of the American Cathedral.

The Cathedral Forum is a weekly lecture series with topics that range from theology, politics and spirituality to economics and literature. The forum regularly features prominent speakers from academia, the media, and journalism.
