Saturday April 20, The Great Vigil of Easter Service. 8pm.
The most ancient and dramatic service of the year begins in darkness. A flame is kindled, the Paschal Candle is lit and the ancient hymn the Exsultet is sung. The service continues with readings from salvation history, Holy Baptism and then the joyful proclamation CHRIST IS RISEN! and the first Eucharist of Easter.
A reception follows in the Parish Hall, with lots of goodies as we celebrate the end of our Lenten fast.
