Les Dimanches Musicaux: Duo SoliPse - flutes and guitar

IMG_6509.jpg

Sunday, June 2 at 3pm Elena Stojceska (flutes) and Romain Petiot (guitar). Works by Giuliani, Sherr, Schubert, Scelsi and Tadic.

Formed in 2011, the Duo SoliPse in 2011 performs regularly in France and in various European countries, notably at the Arromanches festivals, "Sarajevo Winter" in Bosnia, "Maskfest In San Marino, "Forfest" in Kroměříž, Czech Republic……

The flute / guitar combination having acquired its nobility thanks to Astor Piazzolla and his History of the Tango, it is quite natural that the Duo SoliPse leans with predilection on the repertoires of the XXth and XXIth centuries. Always eager to promote the composers of today, they play in particular the music of Doïna Rotaru, Massimiliano Messieri, Toru Takemitsu, Vincent Airault or Edison Denisov.

The other face of the Duo SoliPse is revealed in folk-inspired music from the Balkans to South America and India with composers like Béla Bartók, Dusan Bogdanovic, Miroslav Tadic, Ravi Shankar ...

In close collaboration with composers, they are notably dedicated to Liebes-Lied by the Italian composer Massimiliano Messieri.
