From the Dean: Exciting news! Our parishioners Joanne Blakemore and Neil Janin are offering another pilgrimage to the Holy Land in March 2018. These are extraordinarily well-run, and have been very popular. I will be a part of this trip, making the connections with Biblical readings and historical Christian sites. Lucinda+
Pilgrimage to the Holy Land 2018
The American Cathedral is pleased to announce a pilgrimage to the Holy Land scheduled for 12-18 March 2018. The trip is being organized by Joanne Blakemore and Neil Janin who have taken scores of parishioners to this region over the past years. The trip will include visits to most of the main Biblical sites but will also expose participants to the political, historical and cultural situation - Palestinian and Israeli - with the aid of specialist speakers. We will go to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, the area around Lake Galilee and the West Bank towns of Taybeh (with its brewery run by Palestinian-Americans) and Ramallah where we will visit the Episcopal Technological & Vocational Training Center and Arab Evangelical Episcopal School which have been supported by the Cathedral’s Mission and Outreach budget for many years. The cost of the trip is approximately €1500 (includes hotels, all meals, donations and tips but not airfare). For more information please contact Joanne Blakemore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
