July 2, “Miss American Pie: A Diary of Love, Secrets and Growing Up in the 1970s"
Margaret Sartor with Canon Haddad
The forum’s special summer guest on July 2 will be Margaret Sartor, writer, photographer and teacher at Duke University in Durham, NC. A friend of Canon Haddad’s since 2006 when Margaret published the highly-acclaimed Miss American Pie, the author will do a reading from the book and partake in an informal discussion about the issues the book raised then and now—desegregation, drugs, the sexual revolution, the rise of feminism and the spread of charismatic, evangelical Christianity.
09:45am in the Fleetwood Room.
