Programs

We believe that in giving we are blessed, and the Cathedral embodies that spirit every day. We devote 10% of pledge and plate income to mission and outreach programs, as well as hands-on participation in Paris and beyond. Our programs reflect the evolving ethos of the Cathedral: flexible, grassroots, inclusive.

The Sandwich Ministry

Sandwich Ministry Volunteers packing lunch bags.

The Sandwich Ministry provides free healthy bag lunches and hot coffee on the steps of the Cathedral each Tuesday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. This ministry nourishes volunteers and guests alike with much-needed food and fellowship. From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. volunteers help assemble, package, and distribute bagged lunches outside the Cathedral.

All are welcome. Lunches are distributed whilst stock lasts.

The Sandwich Ministry is a reimagining of Friday Mission Lunch.

“Love in a Box” (LIAB) is now “Love in a Backpack”!

The Love in a Box (LIAB) program is a cherished annual tradition bringing the joy of the holidays to children in need. For over 20 years, as part of our Cathedral Mission & Outreach program, we have worked with schools and community partners Paris-wide, coordinating the preparation and distribution of gifts to numerous charities throughout France. This year, instead of boxes, backpacks will be filled with many goodies, toys, and practical gifts that will bring great joy to hundreds of children of all ages. Join us and be part of the "Love in a Backpack” giving joy!

Other Ministries

Other ministries reach across the Cathedral. Lectors, acolytes, ushers, communion ministers, choristers, and members of the Garden, Flower, and Altar guilds support our services; the 20s/30s group is made up of many backgrounds, nationalities and identities and now comprises some thirty regular members.

Volunteer

We accept volunteers of all ages. Youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or be part of a youth group.
