In this Forum,  Ellen Hampton, editor of the Cathedral’s Trinité magazine and member of the Cathedral Archives Committee, will discuss her latest book, Doctors at War: the Clandestine Battle against the Nazi Occupation of France. Doctors were caught in a moral labyrinth during the Occupation (1940-44), asked to comply with measures that violated their professional integrity and, often, their sworn oath to do no harm. Some formed resistance groups; others treated guerrillas in the maqui camps. Many were deported to concentration camps. An American doctor was among them.
