Lent 2024: Create in us a New Heart
— The Book of Common Prayer
As we remember Jesus’ time in the wilderness, the Cathedral community will enter into the liturgical season of Lent (Wednesday, February 14th - Saturday March 30th).
As we, both as individuals and as a community, prepare to remember Jesus’ death and resurrection, our focus this year is taken from the Collect for Ash Wednesday “Create in us a New Heart”. Let this time be for us and for all a time of prayer, renewal and growth.

Praying Lent with The Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe
Pray as you can, not as you can’t (online on Zoom: 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. CET time) Wednesdays during Lent from February 21st.
During Lent, the Canon for Spiritual Development, Ali Gray, will be hosting 5 weekly sessions on Zoom to help deepen our prayer lives.
The sessions will be relaxed, gentle and invitational. We will practice centering prayer and journaling, the Examen, Lectio Divina, imaginative prayer and praying with art and poetry. They will last 90 minutes and will include time sharing our experiences- both struggles and njoys, introduction to, and guided practice of each mode of prayer, and finish with compline.
All are welcome, for one session or every week. There’s no need to book, just turn up. For more information, please contact Ali Gray on agray@tec-europe.org.
