In this Forum, Mission & Outreach (M&O) Chair, Kim Powell will discuss the initiatives of our outreach program that have been transforming lives in our community, showcasing the profound impact of God's love in action. From the inspiring journey of our Sandwich Ministry, which has grown from humble beginnings to a team of over 30 volunteers providing nourishment and love to over 100 people every Tuesday and Saturday to the heartwarming tradition of Love in a Backpack (LIAB), spreading holiday joy to children in need for over 20 years. Additionally, Kim will share insights into our ongoing efforts to support refugee communities and introduce the Hill initiative, dedicated to empowering Afghan women. Come, learn, and be inspired by the transformative power of community service.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no forum on Sunday, May 19th. The forum will resume on May 26th when we will welcome Professor Greg Garrett.
Our Cathedral Forum series provides occasions to discuss topics ranging from politics to spirituality, economics, and literature, with fascinating guest speakers. The Forum seeks to help parishioners deepen their understanding of Christian faith and life, drawing on scripture, reason and tradition to understand its relevance to our lives and to our world, attentive to God's hand in the co-evolution of our world and of our church.
This is a hybrid forum; please join us in the Parish Hall or on Zoom.
