Acolytes

Acolytes assist the clergy in leading worship.  They assist in preparing for worship by lighting the candles at the altar and in the nave.  In the service, acolytes carry the cross and candles, and assist the clergy set the altar for the Eucharist.  Acolytes serve at Sunday services, Evensongs, special observances and feasts (Christmas, Holy Week and Easter), as well as at funerals and weddings. Both adults and youth are invited to serve. Anyone over the age of eleven is welcome. Training and practice sessions are offered.
